SLAM!

I am finally getting around to doing some work to my convertible and just wondered how much trouble it is to remove the top and frame. I am trying to weigh my options with what I should do with the car as far as cleaning it up from rust and paint etc. Anyone have any experience with this?

Mine was 3 bolts on each side. Unhook your power cylinder lines, then lift the assembly out.

Would reinstalling the top be just as simple.... just the reverse? The only reason I ask is, I am preparing to install a front full and mid floor in the interior, a full trunk floor. I would also like to put on new quarters, as well as possibly, new truck like fenders and hood. But If I did that, I would think about doing the inner fenders and possibly some firewall work also. The frame rails are solid, but I would also like to do connectors also. I plan to do a little at a time, starting with the floors which are needed now, but something keeps telling me, I should, just strip the whole car and have it blasted. Im just afraid to go that far, as I am a novice.

So far, I've changed my inner fenders, cowl, firewall, front floor, rear floor, front frame rail, piece of the rocker, a-pillar and door support. Still have the trunk, quarters, outer wheel houses, trunk extensions to go. See my pics here:

Hey all, I'm just looking for a throttle cable to put on my car. Put a new carb and intake on it and my old cable is frayed. It's on a 68 super bee 383. Also am looking for an electronic choke for a 750 holley. thanks devin brand
