Am I Crazy?????

Need your guys opinion on fixing a 73 RR/GTX (1 of 117 susposedly, I don't buy that number myself as I have seen a few on ebay the last year, maybe they all survived....yeah right....)when I have a couple of very cool Mopars to do first (70 Charger and 70 GTX Clone). Decided I would take the 1 with the least amount of work to do. Hope to have it done by spring and run the shit out of it for the summer. The more I sit and look at it though, I am reminded just why I never wanted one before this

Hi. Saw your post about parts. Was wondering if you have door hinges for 1973 Roadrunner, any wheel chrome pieces. Thanks Jan

117 built is right for 1973 RR/GTX's. If you ordered a 440 you got the RR with GTX option. Check the VIN for a U in the fifth digit for a 440 engine. The VIN should read RM21U3Gxxxxxx with G being built at the St. Louis Plant. It could be an A for the Lynch Road Plant or also an R for the Windsor Assembly Plant. It is worth restoring if it is really a GTX model with 440.

Thanks alot Dale, one door is still at the MOBARN, other 2 in back of my truck.I'm hesitating on resoration because it is so much fun as is & I don't have to worry about it.The Cordoba & the Dart will probably be done first.

P.S.
I THINK I bought 3 71 Charger doors from you at the 2006 Monster Mopar swap meet. My Charger has 72 Ralley doors on it.

Hi Dale,
My opinion is: NO YOU"RE NOT CRAZY!
A 73 U code car will not reach the PEAK values of a 68-71 B or E, but the RATE of value increase keeps going up for all Mopars no matter what the pedigree.I was offered twice what I paid for my 72 Newyorker BEFORE the body & paint work, & almost 4 times what I got in it after. A quick check on NADA shows $10,000 low & $42,000 high which pretty much matches my 71 383 Charger. You aint crazy.
