SLAM!
No Fire
Any help would be appreciated. I have a 361 big block. Two weeks ago the car stopped running. No fire. The number one plug wire burnt in two from laying on the manifold. I have a Pertronix electronic conversion. I replaced the cap, rotor, coil, and ballast resistor. I'm getting power to the coil, but only firing one time per rotation of the rotor. Common sense says it should fire eight times per rotation. Can anyone help?

I didn't lose a magnet, but when I pulled off the rotor, the magnet sleeve opened and the magnets all jumped together. Luckily none of them fell out. Before I got the problem figured out, I dumped three gallons of gas in the motor with no fire. We got it all cleaned out and she should be ready to go this weekend. Thanks again!!!!!

Hi Randy, I hope you found the problem & I'm sorry for late response but, just incase you haven't....I had a similar problem with a PERTRONIX.Make sure that all 8 little magnets are present on the ROTOR ADAPTOR and that the GREEN TAPE is still there holding them in place.Any one of those that falls out is a cylinder that will NEVER fire. Hope that helps.

I'm just looking for a throttle cable to put on my car. Put a new carb and intake on it and my old cable is frayed. It's on a 68 super bee 383. Also am looking for an electronic choke for a 750 holley.
